A short guide to preparing for an RM & ZEE cleaning visit.
Before we arrive
You do not need to tidy for the cleaner. A handful of things, though, stop the visit being wasted.
01
Access
Someone needs to provide safe, reasonable access at the agreed time. If our cleaner cannot get in, we will call the number you gave us. If access still cannot be arranged within a reasonable wait, the visit is treated as missed and the full scheduled fee applies.
02
Products and equipment
You provide the cleaning products and equipment used in your home. Have the vacuum, mop, cloths and bottles out and ready. If something is missing we will do what we can with what is there, but it will limit the visit.
03
Personal items
Put away valuables, paperwork you would rather not have moved, and anything fragile that lives on a surface you want dusted. We treat homes with care, but we should not be rummaging through drawers.
04
Pets
Let us know if you have pets. If a dog is happier in another room for the visit, that usually makes the job easier for everyone. A closed door is not a judgement on the dog.
05
Priorities
If the bathrooms matter more than the bedrooms this week, say so. The quote form asks for your three most important areas for a reason — two hours cannot do everything equally.
06
When the cleaner arrives
A brief hello, confirmation of the rooms, and then they get on with it. You do not need to stay and supervise, but you are welcome to be at home.
A quick check
Have these ready on the day
Access at the agreed time, or a clear arrangement if you will not be in
Vacuum, mop, cloths and the products you are happy for us to use
Surfaces cleared of papers, jewellery and anything you do not want moved
A note about pets, parking or a particular room that must come first
Missed access is charged as a missed visit.
That is in the booking policy because the cleaner’s time has already been set aside for your home. If plans change, give us as much notice as you can.
On the day
You do not need to hover.
Most households prefer a quiet “hello”, a reminder of the priorities, and then to get on with their own morning. That is fine. If you would rather stay, that is fine too.
The visit is the hours you booked, used on the rooms you named. Extra jobs such as an inside oven only happen if they were added to the quote, or if we agree them on the day and there is time.
